Community

Reesor Park Public School is proud of its vibrant learning community.  We currently have 365 students in JK to Grade 8.  We serve the surrounding community with most of our students walking to school.  The population reflects some cultural diversity and a range of socio-economic backgrounds.

In addition to a number of private sector partnerships, the following community agencies serve our school and its community.

  • Children’s Aid Society
  • Early Intervention Services
  • Markham Fire Department
  • Centennial Community Centre
  • Markham Public Library
  • York Region Health Services
  • York Region Police
  • YMCA Before and After school program

Community involvement is fostered through our September Meet the Teacher/BBQ and our annual Bingo evening.  As a kick off to our Healthy Schools initiative, we are having a community winter walk in January.  A host of parent and community volunteers are also actively involved in supporting our students learning on a daily basis.
